New Book: Let the Great World Spin

Okay, I finished Little Brother a while back, but just got around to figuring this out (what with spending most of my waking hours trying to figure out how to get Sam to sleep...) I'm not sure if I am supposed to write my thoughts about the book here in this post or what. Eventually we'll get it figured out, right? I thought it was a fascinating book--the ideas and tech stuff was amazing--but I found the writing to be hackneyed at times. Overall, though, I enjoyed it.

If I remember correctly, we are no longer sending the book, but just relaying the choice--am I right? So my choice is Let the Great World Spin by Colum McCann. My sister-in-law sent it to me and I really enjoyed it. I'll be interested to see what you both think, especially about a few sections of it. I don't want to post any spoilers, so I'll wait to write more.

Miss you both, hope all is well!

  3. Ladies -

I am picking up my copy of the next book from the library today, so here's a proposal for how to handle the reviews/responses. Zellous, why don't you give me and aquaphilic a few days (a week? Do you have your copy yet A?) and then post your comments. We can respond to your post with our thoughts. Sound ok?
